Our cabin and vacation rentals are scattered on the mountains surrounding Maggie Valley and all share the beauty of the area. Breathtaking vistas, waterfalls and streams, unlimited back roads to hike or bike.
Known as the coolest valley in the Smokies, Maggie offers four distinct seasons, all with their own special charm. In the spring the mountains come alive with wildflowers and the bursting out of leaves will refresh you. The summer is alive with activity; whitewater rafting, tubing, hiking top the lists of visitors. The colors of mid October paint the mountains in a blanket of Autumn’s hues that signal that Winters not far ahead. And last but not least, Winter is a time when the mountains sleep soundly. There is nothing like the deafening silence after a fresh snowfall.
Typical daytime temperatures in January run from 20º to 40º and Summer temps rarely reach 80º. Evenings on the porch may require a light jacket even in August. If you plan on visiting in the Winter months, pay close attention to the weather and call ahead for road conditions. Snow in the higher elevations is common and may not be evident till you reach the mountains.
